Can a natural health care product really combat cholesterol?

There are two types of cholesterol found in the human body. Generally termed as either “good” or “bad”.

Although this sounds like two thirds of a Western, it is not about the good and the bad fighting each other to the death, with the victor taking the spoils. The key to a healthy cholesterol level in the body is to maintain a balance of good and bad cholesterol, which gives a healthy overall level of cholesterol. » Read more: Battling Cholesterol with A Natural Health Care Product Instead of Pharmaceutical Drugs

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly referred to as ADD or ADHD is growing more and more commonplace today.

There are many theories as to why ADHD is on the rise and many thoughts that ADHD is just a blanket diagnosis for a group of symptoms (which would explain why the same medications work for one person and not at all for another.) » Read more: Natural Alternatives Vs Pharmaceutical Drugs to Treat Attention Deficit Disorder

Do You Know That There Are Drugs in Your Drinking Water?

by

“Probe finds drugs in drinking water” was typical of the headlines in the newspapers back in March 2008 when an Associated Press report revealed the results of an investigation carried out by three of its reporters. So how do pharmaceutical drugs get in drinking water? That is the question that this article will attempt to answer.

When you fill a glass with water from a tap in your home that water comes from the local public water treatment plant which draws its supply from lakes and rivers or, in some cases, groundwater from boreholes. The lakes and rivers rely on rainwater that falls on the hills and the waste water from our homes and businesses. And it is the waste water that is the major source of the drugs in our drinking water. » Read more: Do You Know That There Are Drugs in Your Drinking Water?

Problems With Medical Drugs

by

One of the things that I repeatedly state in providing guidelines for healthy living is to take medical drugs only if essential. Although in recent years there has been considerable adverse publicity associated with certain pharmaceutic drugs there is still the strong perception that medical drugs are ok and will help.

While it is acknowledged that medical drugs have been important for helping to relieve the suffering of many millions it is also the case that excessive use of medicinal drugs (obtained either on prescription or over the counter at a pharmacists or supermarket), can lead to serious physical ill-health. It is important to avoid taking drugs unless there is a defined medical problem. If you are currently taking medication do not cease to take it without talking to your medical practitioner as the sudden cessation of medication can have a serious effect on your body. » Read more: Problems With Medical Drugs

The 5 Worst Prescription Pharmaceutical Drugs

by

Do you have a prescription for a certain medical condition? You are one of the many then. In fact over 50% of Americans take at least one type of prescription drug regularly and staggeringly over 80% of Americans take some kind of pharmaceutical drug, like Tylenol, on a regular basis. However, as unbelievable as this may seem, there are some prescriptions that should have been scrapped from inception, some that we have a hard time believing the FDA actually approved. Are you taking one of them?

The first worst prescription pharmaceutical drugs are Vicodin and Oxycontin. These are listed here not because they have the worst side effects, but because they are the most freely available and the most abused. In fact, Vicodin and Oxycotin account for more deaths than ALL of the illegal drugs, like cocaine, meth, heroin, LSD, etc., combined. The reason is because alcohol should never be mixed with either Vicodin or Oxycontin. Yet almost all of those who abuse these drugs combine them with alcohol. The amount of pills taken should not be more than 1 or 2 at a time. There are those who will take 4 or more pills at a time. Combine those 4 pills with alcohol and you have a recipe for disaster. » Read more: The 5 Worst Prescription Pharmaceutical Drugs
